Recent news-breaking attacks demonstrated a lack of readiness and foresight of the cybersecurity threat in the automotive industry. New embedded functionalities and features of modern connected cars imply new potential attacks and a new battleground. In spite of the current ongoing efforts to bring automotive standards on par with this new threat, and while academics are actively seeking for new solutions, we are still lacking practical guidelines to evaluate and assess the effectiveness of current countermeasures. Bureau Veritas and Devoteam teamed up to tackle this need.
